Welcome to jatunmayo.com. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the website and the booking of tourism services offered by Jatun Mayo Experience (“Jatun Mayo”, “we”, “us”).

By browsing the website or submitting a form, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or book our services.

3) Services offered

We offer tourism experiences, tours and/or trips in San Pedro de Atacama and surrounding areas, in group and/or private formats, as indicated on each page, itinerary or quotation.

4) Booking and purchase process

A booking is considered confirmed when:

  1. Availability has been validated, including spots and dates;

  2. the corresponding payment has been made, either as a deposit or in full;

  3. and we have sent you confirmation by email or WhatsApp.

We reserve the right to reject a request if there is no availability, if the information provided is incomplete, or if there are safety or operational reasons.

5) Prices, currency and taxes

  • Prices are shown in [CLP/USD] and may vary depending on the season, availability and included services.

  • What is included and not included is detailed in each tour or quotation.

6) Payment methods

We accept payments through Webpay / PayPal / bank transfer / other payment methods.
The client is responsible for any costs or fees charged by their bank or payment platform, where applicable.

7) Changes requested by the client

If you need to change the date or participants:

  • The request must be made in writing, by email or WhatsApp.

  • Changes depend on availability and may involve fare differences or external costs, such as entrance fees, guides or providers.

8) Prices, what is included and what is not included

  • Prices may vary depending on the season, availability, group size and included services.

  • What is included and not included is detailed on the tour page or in the final quotation.

9) Punctuality and no-show

Punctuality is essential in order to follow routes and schedules.
If you do not show up at the agreed time or meeting point, it will be considered a no-show. In this case, there is usually no refund. Please see the annexes.


10) Changes or cancellations by Jatun Mayo

We may modify schedules, routes, or even reschedule/cancel an activity for safety or operational reasons, for example:

  • extreme weather, road closures, authority regulations, mechanical failures, or altitude-related risks.

In these cases, we will do our best to:

  • reschedule the activity, or

  • offer an equivalent alternative, or

  • manage a partial or full refund, where applicable and considering any costs already incurred.

11) Third-party services

Some components may be provided by third parties, such as entrance fees, guides or other providers. In these cases, some costs already paid or committed may be non-refundable.

12) Health, altitude and personal responsibility

The passenger declares that they are in a health condition compatible with activities in the desert and at high altitude.
We recommend considering acclimatization, hydration and personal medication where applicable.
We reserve the right to deny participation if there is an evident risk to the passenger or the group.

We also reserve the right to deny participation if there is a risk to the passenger or the group, for example due to intoxication, aggressive behavior or failure to follow safety instructions.

13) Responsibility and insurance

  • The client is responsible for their personal belongings.

  • We recommend having travel insurance, including health, accidents and luggage coverage.

  • Our responsibility is limited to the service booked and to what is permitted by law.

14) Intellectual property

The content of the website, including texts, design, photos and brand elements, belongs to Jatun Mayo or is used with authorization. Its use without permission is not allowed.

15) Data protection

The use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Cookie Policy is a separate document.

17) Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of [Calama / Antofagasta].
